A night programme that takes you to the stars with music by two Italian grand masters of postmodernism: Ludovico Einaudi and Giovanni Sollima. Their emotional musical language has a hypnotic and relaxing effect at the same time. Einaudi's instruction to the pianist at one point is to play ‘come stelle’ - ‘like stars’. In between, works by Giuseppe dall'Abaco, Frank Bridge and others loosen up this maelstrom.
Lysander Francescatti (violoncello)
Iris Lichtinger (piano)
